First, let me tell you what makes this role stand-out from others. At BambooHR, we care about your quality of life, both at work and outside of work. The great news is, our legal team is not exempt from enjoying this benefit! Not only that, but this is our first ever Commercial Counsel role - that means that while we have systems and processes in place, we’re excited to continue to innovate how we do things. You will be able to directly impact the future legal operations at Bamboo! The other stellar thing about this role is you’ll be partnering with a company who values doing the right thing (literally, it’s one of our values!). When it comes to ethics, we don’t take things lightly - rest assured this definitely applies to our legal dealings. • Partner with our Business Development team to address and handle legal questions from potential partners
  • Assist in the contract redlining and negotiations for our Marketplace, Partner, Joint-Marketing and other related agreements
  • Alongside our procurement function, manage the legal review and redlining of all vendor agreements, ensuring mutual value add and security
  • Work with our Support team when dealing with and communicating with clients who have legal questions, or concerns with our terms or services
  • On occasion, investigate suspicious customer activity and be able to work cross-functionally across the organization to combat and mitigate fraud
  • Manage contract templates and our Terms of Service
  • Innovate and optimize our contracting processes, especially as we scale

  • You have expert problem solving skills and enjoy complex challenges
  • When it comes to negotiation skills you employ listening, emotional intelligence, and expectation management along with your persuasion
  • You are often remembered for your strength in working with other people, especially those with different perspectives and personalities
